 WORLD TRADE CENTER San Diego (WTCSD) created Asia Desk in 2002, in response to Asia's increased importance in the global economy.  During the past decade, Asia Desk has achieved numerous accolades, including:

  • Positioning 5,320 companies for Asian market success via consulting, research, training, and other business services
  • Organizing 95 Asia-focused events, including seminars, conferences, and round table meetings
  • Hosting 98 inbound business and trade delegations from Asia
  • Successfully planning 19 trade missions to China, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam and other Asian markets with more than 300 participants

According to the latest WTO data, world exports in commercial services increased by 12% in the third quarter of 2011 compared to the same quarter of 2010 (balance-of-payments basis, current price, not seasonally adjusted). Dual-Level Roadway Takes Shape

Travelers can now see the beginning framework of the dual-level roadway in front of Terminal 2. The new roadway will separate arriving and departing passengers, helping to reduce curb front congestion.  To date, the construction team has completed 13 pairs of support columns for the roadway, and pile driving activity will continue through May 2012. Read more...
