"Nancy Nicholson and her staff at the International Relations Office of the San Diego World Trade Center did a splendid job of helping to arrange VIP treatment for the recent visit of the Minister of Health of the Peoples' Republic of China. She worked with TSA so we could greet the Health Minister directly at the arrival gate at Lindbergh International Airport and also arranged a complementary lounge for his departure flight prior to boarding. We were able to have a limo parked outside the terminal to whisk the health minister off to his hotel in La Jolla. The process could have been complicated by the fact that the minister's flight arrived in the late evening more than an hour late, but everything worked flawlessly. We were even given some refreshments at the gate while we waited for the overdue flight!
While this sort of VIP treatment is commonplace when U.S. dignitaries arrive in China and other Asian countries, I never knew it would be possible for us to reciprocate here in the United States. The whole process was seamless."

“I am writing on behalf of my wife, my colleagues, and myself to thank you for your wonderful arrangements and warm reception during our short but enjoyable visit to San Diego.
I especially appreciate the efforts you and the WTCSD has done in promoting trade relations between the USA and Vietnam. The feelings all the members of our delegation and I have received from the trip will encourage us to do our best to further strengthen the Vietnamese- US relations in general and the relations between Vietnam and San Diego in particular.”
Le Cong Phung, Ambassador of Vietnam, Vietnamese Ambassador.
“Congratulations on the new International Relations Office. The Abu Dhabi delegation you coordinated last week was impressive. I am sure that international delegations will find great benefit in your expertise and coordination. Receiving delegate information in advance of the arrival was detailed and helpful, and needless to say well-organized.”
Marilyn Hannes, Vice President of Marketing, Sea World
“Your assistance in facilitating the delegates arrival and departure from San Diego International Airport and in coordinating logistics while in San Diego greatly assisted the visit and provided the delegates with a positive image of San Diego. The coordination that you provided in their visit to the Imperial Valley and the materials and DVD that you provided also greatly increased the benefit of that visit and the delegates' understanding of the capabilities of San Diego companies to support the development of geothermal energy projects in Kenya.”
Jamie Merriman, Country Manager, U. S. TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
“Many many thanks for all your work, and your staff’s, in facilitating the Belgorod visit. Your help ranged from nuts and bolts planning and event support, identifying economic opportunities and bringing in additional companies, alerting us to potential cultural gaffs, to worrying about so many of the details that make a trip go smoothly. Without you, the event would have been less successful and taken up much more of our time to put together.
I look forward to working with you again.”
Eric Engelman, Energy Policy Analyst, City of San Diego
“Thank you for all of your good work facilitating the recent visit of the delegation from Abu Dhabi. We receive international groups on a regular basis and one of the things missing has been the lack of consistent pre-visit preparation and coordination by any professional group. This was the best visit I have participated in and clearly your work at the WTCSD is to be commended. Not only was this group well prepared and interesting, but it was a great fit in terms of both our interests. The success of this visit can be measured by the fact that they are returning next week to follow up on key areas of mutual interest we discovered during our discussions.
I look forward to working with you in the future. Again, thank you for taking the lead in this very important role in the region.”
