Internship Guidelines
Potential interns for WORLD TRADE CENTER San Diego are expected to:
- Attend intern Recruitment
- Attend one intern orientation the following week, if accepted. Orientations are typically held Friday morning 7 days after Recruitment and Tuesday afternoon 11 days after Recruitment.
- Complete all necessary paperwork before beginning internship
- Commit to 6 months with 10 to 20 hours per week or 3 months with 16 to 20 hours per week, as agreed upon with staff supervisor
- Take initiative
- Be execution-oriented
- Have a good command of the English language (foreign language a plus)
- Possess intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access, and Internet skills)
- Participate in programs and events
- Provide general administrative assistance to department managers
- Prepare monthly time sheets and activity/progress reports
